Troubleshooting
Fix a join code that will not open, and results that look missing after a session.
Can't join
- Compare the code with the one on the host screen. The join box strips spaces and uppercases the letters.
- Scan the QR code instead of typing. See QR codes.
- Ask the host to launch the session with Present and read the code from that window. The code is created at launch, so a code from before launch will not open. An old slide or chat message can also show a code from a session that has already ended.
- Try another browser, or turn off a VPN if the page never loads.
Async sessions are included on Single User and Team. Their code and QR stay available for digital signs and websites, with a live tally, without a live launch. A Free account can use async during its one free trial of Single User features.
Participants do not need an account. If the page is asking the host to log in, they are on app.answerama.com, not the join page. Use join.answerama.com or the QR code.
Results not showing
- If the session is still live, choose Reveal in the host view. Results stay hidden until you do. See Present, moderate, and end a session.
- End the session, then open Results on that run or open Reports.
- If a banner says responses are locked, a question went past the Free response cap. Everyone was allowed to join. On Free, the host is warned past 50 players, and each question includes 50 responses. Answers past that stay saved and locked. Single User includes 250 participants. Team includes 500. See Plans and free limits.
- Upgrade before the Free deletion window if you need the locked rows. On a session that ran on Free, answers past 50 on a question are deleted 30 days after the session ends unless you upgrade.
- On Team, past 500, the notice says to email [email protected]. That is not a second fee.
