Present, moderate, and end a session

Use the host controls to advance questions, reveal results, hide the screen, and end.

Present launches the session and opens the host view in its own window (/live/…/host). Launching creates the join code. People can join after that launch, at join.answerama.com. Put the audience display on the projector. Keep the controls on your laptop.

Async sessions are included on Single User and Team. They keep a persistent code and QR for digital signs and websites, with a live tally, so people can join without a live launch. A Free account can use async during its one free trial of Single User features.

Move through the session

  • Next goes to the next question. On the last question it moves to the end slide.
  • Previous goes back one question.
  • Hide (blank screen) clears the audience display without ending the session. Show it again when you are ready.

Show results

Reveal (also labeled Reveal Answers & Results) puts the tally on the audience screen. Hide Results takes it off again. You choose when the room sees the outcome.

While the session is still live, answers are visible to you, including answers past your plan limit. The limit is applied after the session ends. See Plans and free limits.

End the session

  1. Choose End session.
  2. Confirm. This is the same control from Sessions if you are not in the host view.
  3. Open results from Sessions (the Results link on that run) or from Reports.

Ending does not delete answers. Locked answers on a Free session are a separate rule, described in Plans and free limits.

There is no separate approve-each-answer queue in the host controls. Moderation here means what you put on screen: next, reveal, hide, and end.
